Cambridge Exams

Cambridge International As&A Level exams act as the International Final Exams. They are organized by Cambridge Assessment International Education at a school that is a CAIE-accredited examination center. Cracow International School has been officially accredited and registered as examination center No. PL027.

Only the sudents who have prepared under the guidance of high school teachers for the international As&A Level exams can take the exams. The main course to prepare for the exams usually lasts 2 years (3rd and 4th year of high school). Before taking the exam session, the student should receive the forecast grade for the subject from the teacher.

The number, level and type of exams fully depend on the student, his/her interests and plans for further academic education. A student can choose from 55 exam subjects offered by Cambridge:

At Cracow International School, a student declares his/her intention to prepare for the Cambridge As&A Level exams of his/her choice at the end of the second year of high school. Before that, the student may take the optional Cambridge IGCSE exams, which test the student’s mastery of the material covered in the first two years of high school. At a later stage of the program, the student declares which of the two exam sessions he/she plans to take (November or June). As&A Level subjects are implemented in English.
