Cambridge Exams

At ‘Cracow International School’ Non-Public Bilingual High School you can choose to take only Polish final exams, to take only Cambridge A-levels and AS-levels, to take both types of exams, or to follow full AICE Diploma programme.

OPTION 1: CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL AS & A LEVELS

Cambridge Advanced Programme offers 55 programmes to schools all over the world. The programmes finish with AS Level or A-Level exams. If you decide to take an international exam within Cambridge, you are free to choose:

  • the number of exams you want to take;
  • subjects you are going to learn for the exam;
  • level on which you want to take the exams.

Except for Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Studies, History, Literature, or foreign languages, the school can provide you with an opportunity to learn subjects that are in line with your interests or planned field of studies. These may be: Psychology, Design, Business, Economy, Law, Sociology, Music, or Food Studies. For more information, see Curriculum section.

OPTION 2: CAMBRIDGE AICE DIPLOMA

If you decide to follow full Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma programme, you will have an opportunity to extensively study subjects of your choice from three subject groups:

  • Mathematics and Science
  • Languages
  • Arts and Humanities

In order to complete Cambridge AICE Diploma programme and receive a Cambridge certificate you need to choose at least one subject from each of the above subject groups for your final exam, and to pass each of the exams at a demanded level. Moreover, you need to complete and pass Global Perspectives & Research programme. All A-Level exams weigh 2 points, and all As-Level exams weigh 1 point. In order to complete Cambridge AICE Diploma, a student is obligated to pass exams which sum up to 7 points.  Below you will find examples of choices you may make in terms of the exams:

Cambridge AICE Diploma programme allows for comprehensive, multi-dimensional development and helps to deepen the understanding of the analysed issues from different fields. AICE Diploma certificate is appreciated and recognized at many universities all over the world, especially in the USA, Great Britain, and Australia.
