Project Overview

Cracow International School, a non-public primary school, has launched the project “Equal and Different – Acting Together!” as part of the European Funds for Małopolska 2021–2027, under Action 6.10 – Support for General Education.

The project will run from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2028, and directly supports Specific Objective EFS+.CP4.F.

Project Objective

The main goal of the project is to develop the individual potential of students with special educational needs (SEN) from the Małopolska region who attend Cracow International School. The initiative aims to:

  • Equip these students with the skills needed for personal development in line with their abilities.

  • Ensure full social inclusion through individually tailored educational activities.

Who Will Benefit?

  • 300 students, including 221 with special educational needs,

  • 46 teachers and school staff members,

  • Parents and guardians of students with SEN attending Cracow International School.

Key Activities

For Students:

  • Social skills and anger management training

  • Mindfulness workshops and calming techniques

  • Remedial and support classes in mathematics, Polish, and English

  • Talent Academy: creative workshops in art, music, dance, IT, and digital media

  • Anti-discrimination, anti-bullying, and cyber safety workshops

  • Integration trips and activities

For Staff:

  • Training on identifying and supporting SEN and gifted students

  • Strategies for reducing educational disparities

  • Working with students with migrant backgrounds

  • Nonviolent communication (NVC)

  • Preventing discrimination and school violence

For Parents and Guardians:

  • Psychological workshops and consultations

School Environment:

  • Adapting educational spaces and equipment to meet the needs of inclusive education and the school’s international community

Expected Outcomes

  • 300 students will acquire new competencies upon completion of the support

  • 46 school staff members will gain qualifications related to inclusive education

Project Partner

The project is implemented in partnership with the Non-public Primary School “Complex of Silesian International Schools” (Katowice), which brings valuable experience in the field of inclusive education.

  • Total project value: PLN 2,008,022.06

  • EU co-financing (ESF+): PLN 1,706,818.74

  • State budget co-financing: PLN 200,802.20
